Who’s not a fan of ghost ships? Of course, everyone loves ghost ships. And the best to do it is the Kalmar Nyckel Halloween Ghost Ship in Wilmington.
This Halloween, the Kalmar Nyckel Foundation shipyard offers frightful fun with a maritime edge to children of all ages. You may visit the 141-foot Tall Ship of Delaware. Then explore the Copeland Maritime Center, paint pumpkins, and participate in a costume parade on October 23 from 12-4 p.m. It sounds like a lot of spooky family-friendly fun, isn’t it?
3. Boo at the Brandywine Zoo

Join the fun at the Boo at the Zoo event on October 22-24. And don’t forget to come dressed up for Halloween and parade around the zoo, collecting candy and seeing the animals. Midnight Oil Brewing Company's Boo & Brew 5K, held on October 30 by Fusion Racing, combines Halloween costumes with running. And even better is that the proceeds benefit the Friends of Fusion Foundation, nonprofit providing emergency help to Delaware's children and first responders.
Following the race, you and other runners will congregate at Midnight Oil Brewing for a scary good time. And guess what? On October 31st, there will also be an adult Halloween party, so after the kids, the adults can go crazy and have a good time too!
5. Tram-or-Treat at Winterthur

And, of course, closing off our list is Winterthur's sophisticated and magnificent lands, all in their spooky grandeur. Like straight out of a picture book, the Tram-or-Treat at Winterthur will leave you and your kids wide-eyed with many elegant creepy vibes.
On October 30, enjoy the day trick-or-treating at the Winterthur Museum's Enchanted Woods. It’s so picturesque and dreamy! Then, starting at 10 a.m., the museum welcomes you to ride the special tram and stop at several locations for sweets and Halloween crafts from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
